At last. I have been trying to find out about the London Scottish regiment for 10 years. My father joined it when he was under age and went through battles at Arras.however his medal states that he was in the Durham Light Infantry when he was discharged.I would like to know when and why the change of regiment came about. My father's name was Wilfrd Hall and he came from County Durham. I believe that the "H" records were destroyed. Love to hear from anyone on the subject. Freda Cooke.

Excellent site and glad to see the old regiment still going stron and my old platoon commander is now company commander. I am now living in the US but I often think of my short time with the London Jocks and hope I can pay a visit to HQ during one of my visits back to the UK.

Just trying to sort Grandad's history out - bloody good website - congratulations - this is all highly professional. My grandad (William Fibbens) served with the regiment in WW1. He was wounded in France (perhaps at Loos). I'm trying to get more information about his service (and indeed his battles). Can anyone help?
